START Ireland is a national group run by GPs for GPs and other Healthcare professionals that offer unplanned pregnancy services.
Our goal is to provide safe, accessible healthcare services to women in Ireland and to improve health outcomes for women that choose termination of pregnancy.
START Ireland hopes to assist women to make informed choices about their health and the options available to them while protecting and promoting their bodily autonomy.
Patients who would like more information on the options available to them can access the HSE My Options service though the website or phone number listed above.
Information and support services available include information on continuing with an unplanned pregnancy, counselling sessions, information on where to go for an abortion and support services for men.
Information and support for women after a termination of pregnancy is also available from the HSE My Options service. Post-abortion counselling services are available free of charge.
